The Level 3 AET is an introduction to teaching that will give an insight into the roles, responsibilities and relationships in education and training, how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching sessions and how to assess and give constructive feedback.
An introductory qualification which roughly equates to Advanced (A level) study, Level 3 AET will not fully qualify you as a teacher, but it will give you a good idea of what it is like to teach and is ideal for anyone who has education or teaching responsibilities as part of their role but does not currently hold a formal teaching qualification.
It is also useful for those who have just started in a teacher or training role and would like to gain a short qualification to help you deliver teaching and training confidently.
You may not currently be in a teaching or training role but would like to find out more about what is involved. This could be the first stepping stone into a new career.
